Notes to read before creating your video direction sheet:

All photos/video-clips are documented by number/filename. You use that number to refer to the picture/video-clip in your video directions sheet.

If you want to focus on a particular person in a group photo (not available for Basic video), but an “X” on the back of the photo behind the person’s head. This lets us know who to focus on during while creating your video

How to organize your Slideshow Video

Please take a look at our sample videos on the website

Our Ideal videos are broken up into sections:

  1. Title/Intro
  2. Title slides (to break up sections – usually chronologically)
  3. Pictures or video-clips
  4. Close

Start with the title of the project (Example: “Julie & Mark’s 50th Wedding Anniversary”)

If there are any pictures/videos before your first title slides, list them after the project title

Then write your first title slide (ex: “In the Beginning…”)

Under that title slide, list the order of the pictures/video-clips to be used in the order you would like them to be shown (we usually recommend chronological order)

Then write your next title slide

Then the pictures/video-clips as described above

Continue in this fashion until you get to your close

The close can be a succession of phrases that end the video. (Examples: Happy Birthday Mom à Love, Your Children à Lori, Chuck, Chrisi, Miki.) In the example we would write each phrase as a separate title slide. You can have up to 4 title slides for your close. And remember, your close is included in your price so don’t worry about having a long one.
